Using multimedia to save lives, save money, and delivering value to the communities we serve.

At CareUniversity, we utilize storytelling in the form of multimedia, documentaries, webinars, and social media to connect with families, home caregivers, and professional caregivers so that we can help them deal with the most common causes of preventable harm to children and adults. Below are some of our projects in development that will meet the needs of the communities we serve.

In Development: The 5 Rights Program

We are developing a series of multimedia training resources that use the “5 Rights” organizational model to help train patients and professional caregivers in the most critical aspects of the healthcare system. Some of those ares include:

  • The 5 Rights of Emergency Care
  • The 5 Rights of Hypertension Care
  • The 5 Rights of Pain Care
  • The 5 Rights to Your Medical Records

In Development: Med Tac

The Medical Tactical or Med Tac Certificate Training Program tackles the most frequent, severe, preventable, and measurable High Impact Health Hazards. The life-saving skills they learn address leading causes of death of kids K-12 and adults as well. The training is designed to make Med Tac trainees competent in certain Lifeline Behaviors that can save them and others from preventable suffering and even death by targeting the most common causes of death.

Chasing Zero: Winning the War on Healthcare Harm

Our Discovery Channel documentary, Chasing Zero: Winning the War on Healthcare Harm was developed as a compelling documentary for all viewers as well as training program for professional healthcare providers. We are currently developing more training materials based on the award-winning documentary that will raise awareness of preventable healthcare harm as well as the solutions to those unfortunate systems errors. Surfing the Healthcare Tsunami: Bring Your Best Board

Our second Discovery Channel documentary, Surfing the Healthcare Tsunami: Bring Your Best Board focused on how leaders in healthcare organizations and in the boardrooms can directly effect change in their organizations. We are currently developing educational and training resources for boards and leaders to better understand their role in preventing medical errors. Click here for more information on the Surfing the Healthcare Tsunami Educational Resources.
